Din Bearings
DIN-standard bearings are designed to endure the high standards of the Deutsches Institut für Normung (DIN), which include exact dimensions, high load capacity, and long life. DIN-standard bearings are especially suited for harsh industrial applications that demand precision and efficiency.
Made to be compatible with imported equipment, DIN bearings are dependable replacements for imported equipment and provide smooth transition into various applications. With or without heavy-duty machinery, DIN-standard bearings provide the consistent performance that industries today require.
Application:
Wide Application Coverage for Din Bearing
Metatek’s DIN bearings are deployed in a wide range of heavy and high-precision industries:
Industry | Applications |
Automotive & Transport | Transmission units, wheel hubs, engine systems |
Heavy Equipment & Earthmoving | Swing drives, gearboxes, load rollers |
Mining & Cement | Crushers, vibrators, conveyor systems |
Energy Sector | Wind turbines, hydro systems, power transmission |
Steel & Foundry | Rolling mills, continuous casting equipment |
Railways | Axle box assemblies, traction motor housings |
What Are DIN Bearings?
DIN bearings are constructed to strict German engineering tolerances that govern every aspect—inner and outer diameter, tolerances, load capacity, and material properties. DIN standards offer interchangeability and functional safety in a wide range of applications.
Metatek DIN bearings come in a variety of categories, such as ball bearings, cylindrical roller bearings, spherical bearings, thrust bearings, and custom bushings – all engineered to provide precision, strength, and stability.
Materials That Deliver More
We use high-grade materials that meet international metallurgical norms and are selected for their performance under pressure. Every bearing is manufactured with the right material composition based on its operating environment.
Key Material Grades Used at Metatek:
Material | DIN Grade | Characteristics |
100Cr6 (DIN 1.3505) | Bearing-grade chromium steel | High hardness and wear resistance |
X65Cr13 (DIN 1.4037) | Stainless steel | Excellent corrosion resistance for chemical and marine applications |
42CrMo4 (DIN 1.7225) | Alloy steel | Exceptional toughness for high-load conditions |
CuSn12/Bronze | For plain and bush bearings | Great embeddability and thermal properties |
PTFE-Based Composites | For dry-lubricated applications | Low friction, maintenance-free performance |
Our Product Range Includes:
- Deep Groove Ball Bearings – DIN 625
- Spherical Roller Bearings – DIN 635
- Cylindrical Roller Bearings – DIN 5412

Reverse Engineering & Custom Manufacturing
For instances of obsolete equipment or foreign equipment with no documentation, DIN-standard bearings can be reverse-engineered to replicate or even surpass original parts. Newer design software and materials analysis techniques allow bearings to be redesigned with exact specifications—trouble-free operation and increased service life.
Special-application, DIN-compatible bearings can also be produced for particular uses. These are most typically metallurgical improvements and design improvements which result in greater load capacity, wear resistance, and less maintenance requirement in demanding applications.
